Did you know hiding under Barns and Noble's Nook Color is a full blown Android OS? Running on a 800MHz ARM chip, it's no wonder a group of people starting thinking of ways to bypass the Barns and Noble app. A few weeks ago there was a break through and they were successfully able to remove the Barns and Noble app and run the Android System.
That's right a 250$ 7" Android Tablet perfect for playing Angry Birds, or browsing the net. The one downside though is once you root your device you will no longer be able to download books from Barns and Noble's store. With that being said you can always download the Amazon Kindle app or Google Books app. Now you have a full blown Android tablet to browse the net and play games, but you're still able to use it as an e-Reader if you please.
