International House of Pancakes (IHOP) has filed a lawsuit against a Prayer Group called International House of Prayer (IHOP). The pancake house says that the prayer group violates their name copyright. Ihop has owned their name for over 30 years now and the prayer group was founded in 1999.

"The prayer group adopted the name knowing that their initials would be IHOP, in hopes that the restaurants fame would help out his business too" the lawsuit says

Ihop has gathered quite a bit of evidence against the prayer group from their website and documents they've released.

In the end all Ihop the pancake house wants is for Ihop the prayer group to stop using their trademarked letters Ihop. The prayer group doesn't seem to be afraid of the pancake house though and will see them in court.
