Department of Public Health of Connecticut stated that 20 towns in Connecticut tested positive for West Nile Virus. They have a network of 91 mosquito-trapping stations scattered around the state. 71 of those stations tested negative for the virus, but the same can't be said for the other 20 stations. That stations that tested positive for the West Nile Virus include:
Bethel, Bridgeport, Darien, Fairfield, Greenwich, Manchester, Meriden, Milford, Newtown, Norwalk, New Britain, New Haven, Orange, Stamford, Stratford, Trumbull, Wallingford, West Haven, Westport and Wethersfield
The West Nile Virus affects birds mainly, however it can affect horses, squirrels, dogs, cats and even humans. It's been reported that 6 people in Connecticut have confirmed cases of the West Nile Virus in 2010 alone. Over the past decade 15,000 Americans have tested positive for West Nile Virus.
The symptoms of the West Nile Virus include severe headache, weakness, fever and fatigue. If you have these symptoms its best to see a doctor and get check out.
