Twitter hasn't changed much since it's release on July 15, 2006. The folks over at Twitter, Inc know that they have to keep up with the changing times though.

They plan to release a sitewide update to give the users what they've been asking for for a few years now. The new Twitter allows media to be placed in a users tweet. However, it doesn't function like you think it would.

All you have to do is simply place a link you a youtube video or image and it will be placed in your tweet. For the user to see the media they have to click on the tweet. The right side of the site will display the media for the user so that they never lose their place on the site.

It's hard to explain so we went ahead and posted a video on the new features.
