True freshman Trey Burton breaks Tim Tebow's record in only his 4th game at University of Florida. Tim Tebow is arguably one of the best quarterbacks to ever play college football, but even he can't say that he's accounted for 6 touchdowns in a single game. Saturday night 18 year old Trey Burton did just that!
Six touchdowns is not only a Florida record for a freshman it's also an SEC record.
Trey Burton had a huge role in the 48-14 win over Kentucky tonight. He played quarterback, wide receiver, running back, and tight end. In highscool he only played quarterback and a little running back, but he says he will do anything and play anywhere to help his team win.
He only has 4 games under his belt but he's already being compared to Tim Tebow. Both are outspoken Christians, both play with a ton of heart, both will do anything to win, both are natural leaders and the list goes on and on. Some people argue that even his physical size and playing style resembles that of Tim Tebow.
Only time will tell how well Trey Burton can play football. In his first four games though he has 8 touchdowns and he's listed as the second string quarter back.
