Tuesday morning a student disguised in a ski mask opened fire on the campus of Texas University. Armed with an AK-47 the masked gunman fired 5 shots before turning the gun on himself. Police found the body on the 6th floor of the main library.
Police were looking for a second gunman after getting mixed results from the eye witnesses. After a few hours of searching the campus they came forward and said the man was working alone.
"We did get multiple descriptions, and we have to make sure that he didn't have other people with him," Police Chief Robert E. Dahlstrom said
No injuries were reported in the shooting. However, the even the shake up the student base quite a bit. Texas was the host of one of the most notorious school shootings back in 1966. Charles Whitman killed 14 people and injured more then 30 others.
The campus was locked down for a few hours and classes were canceled today.
