I'll even let you name up to 11 subs. you can choose from anyone who has played or currently plays in the MLS. Please don't use players that never have or have yet to play in the MLS like Beckham. also choose a formation for your all time best MLS team

Sorry, don't have time for positions, formation, etc....but I love your question, and here's my best 11 MLS players of all time:
Hugo Sanchez
Tim Howard
Landon Donovan
Alexi Lalas
Cobi Jones
Brian McBride
Claudio Reyna
Carlos Valderama
Youri Djorkaeff
Eric Wynalda
Preki
This probably reflects my personal preference than objective evaluation - these are players whose game I have enjoyed the most since the beginning.
3-5-2
In goal: Zach Thornton
Defense:
Lubos Kubik - I loved those Chicago teams
Carlos Bocanegra
Jimmy Conrad - probably the guy I like the most today
Midfield:
Peter Nowak - the key to the great Fire teams
Terry Cooke - each time he touches the ball smth good happens
Preki - maestro
Clint Dempsey - always imaginative
Damarcus Beasley - speed demon, always fun while in MLS
Forwards:
Eddie Johnson - saw him this season live - man among boys at times.
Taylor Twellman - if Arena took him to Germany, US would've made it to 2nd round
Subs:
Eddie Pope
Carlos Llamosa
Marcelo Balboa
Chris Armas - in his prime a great defensive stopper, breaking up attacks in the middle
Christian Gomez - the creator
Dema Kovalenko - probably one of my bigger favorites
Roberto Donadoni
Landon Donovan - he's very good, I am not a big fan though. He should be playing in Europe
Emilio - every time I see this guy I am amazed.
J.P. Angel - tearing up the league right now
Tim Howard
MLS is still in its infancy to pick a good allstar team
