Ocracoke Island And Hurricane Earl:Hurricane Earl still brewing in the Western Atlantic, authorities in the Outer Banks of North Carolina are beginning to evacuate Ocracoke Island via ferry. Ocracoke Island, which is filled with about 5,000 people on holiday, is only accessible by ferry, so it is very dangerous if a hurricane close, because after a certain point it is impossible to escape.
